Williams Grove Steam Association, Mechanicsburg, PAThe Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association supports the collection, restoration, and preservation of vintage steam-driven equipment, including traction engines and portable and stationery steam engines -- as well as early gas-powered engines and tractors. They display and operate over 600 of these historic machines at an annual late-August show held on their 91-acre site in rural Pennsylvania. A highlight of the show is the 1901 former Pennsylvania Railroad No. 643 0-6-0 steam switch engine pictured here. No. 643 is one of the few century-old locomotives regularly operated in the nation.
