The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio on the shore of Lake Erie in a dramatic building designed by the renowned architect I. M. Pei. Since opening in 1995, the Hall of Fame has hosted more than 8.5 million visitors.
James Henke, chief curator for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with the help of music writers and critics, selected 500 songs (not only rock songs) that they believe have been most influential in shaping rock and roll.
